AYC 4th of July weekend fun!
Come celebrate the 4th July weekend at AYC and bring a friend! We will have a fun filled weekend for everyone, including Chick-fil-A and ice cream sundaes for lunch Thursday! Then we’ll have live music in the evening. Friday and Saturday are packed with fun events, including a burger food truck Saturday night.
The deadline for lunch reservations for Thursday, July 4th and dinner Saturday, July 5th burger food truck is Friday, June 28th.
Calling all classic cars and boats! Bring your Classic Keels and Wheels Sunday, July 7th!

WEEKEND SCHEDULE
Wednesday, July 3 - Allatoona Yacht Club Fireworks on the lake
Thursday, July 4th
- 9:00 - 10:30 am: Mitzi’s Famous Fishing Contest at Motorboat Dock 2.
- 10:30 am: Come decorate your GOLF CART bike/scooter/wagon/etc. for the 4th of July parade.
- 11:30 am: 4th of July parade starts at the clubhouse
- 12 to 1 pm: Lunch will be served. Chick-fil-a sandwiches, chips, watermelon, drinks and make your own ice cream sundaes. You must make reservations by Friday, June 28 th . ($7 per person)
- 6:30 pm Bring a heavy appetizer to share at the clubhouse. Mojitos first come first served!
- 7 to 10 pm: Live music with Christopher Glenn playing guitar. Sing, dance and light some sparklers!
Friday, July 5
- 10:00 - 4:00 pm Water slide down at beach. Please supervise your children.
- 12:00 - Bring your Own Picnic to the Beach
- 1:30 pm - Sandcastle Building Contest -which fleet at AYC can build the best sandcastle?
- 4:00 pm - Come tie-dye with us! Bring a shirt and we will have the dye ready to go at the clubhouse. Let us know if your coming on reservations.
- 6:30 - Bring a dish to share and a meat to grill

- 8:45 – Movie on the lawn: How to Train a Dragon 3: The hidden world. Bring folding chair, towel or blanket!
Saturday, July 6
- 9:00 - 11:00 – Jr. sailing classes
- 10:30-11:30- Brunch, bring a dish to share at the clubhouse. Bring a friend to come eat brunch and sail in the Thistle Rally!
- 2:00 - 5:00 - Fleet Races with Poker Run Theme and Thistle Rally
- 6:00 to 8:00 – Patty Wagon food truck: “Burgers so good, it’s criminal”
You must make reservations by Friday, June 28th . ($12 per person)
Kids meals will be available: cheese pizza $5
Food truck will be located outside clubhouse.
Entrée Items: Choice of either Beef Burger, Turkey Burger, or Veggie Burger.
Preparation Options you choose one:
1. The Usual Suspect- patty with vine ripe tomatoes, leaf lettuce, red onions, 5-0 sauce. With or without cheese.
2. Bacon the Law- The Usual Suspect with our maple glazed bacon, American cheese.
3. Hot Pursuit- Blackened with Jalapenos, Pepper Jack, Fire Aioli
4. Good Behavior- Strawberry Preserves, Goat Cheese, Maple Glazed Bacon
Side Items- Seasoned French Fries choice of Cajun, Parmesan
Garlic, Sea Salt Cracked Pepper.
Drinks and dessert in the clubhouse.
- 8:00 pm – Meet in the clubhouse for a fun game! (all ages) Could be Bingo or Mexican Train…
- 9:00 pm - JAM Session (bring an instrument to play)
Sunday, July 7
- 9:00 - 11:15 am - Jr. sailing classes
