Cinco de Mayo Junior Regatta
May 2-3, 2026
Come celebrate Cinco de Mayo AYC-style at the 2026 Cinco de Mayo Junior Regatta! This year will be again a Grand Prix event, so make sure to mark it down on your calendars. Registration is now open for all JUNIOR AGE Opti, O'pen Skiff, Sunfish, Laser and 420 sailors. The Opti Class will include both Championship Fleet (Red, Blue, and White) and Green Fleet coached racing with clinic.
All meals are included in registration for all jr. competitors (Sat/Sun lunch & Sat dinner). T shirts, well as additional meals for parents and spectators are available to purchase with registration. Registration deadline is Sunday, April 26th. The entry fee is $55 per boat or competitor in Optis, $65 O’pen Skiff, Sunfish and Lasers, and $85 includes both 420 skipper and crew. Late registration fee - additional $20. Meals/Prices - extra lunch for Saturday or Sunday - $12 each for Adults (non-sailing kids $6). Additional dinners for Saturday night's fiesta are $18 each for Adults (non-sailing kids $12). (Note: Meals for all jr. competitors are included in your registration fee.) Meal reservation deadline - Tuesday April 28th.
T-Shirt designs are coming soon and will be available in all sizes for $20 online; order deadline April 19th.

8:30 am – 10:00 am: Sailor Check-In – outdoor patio, Clubhouse
10:00 am: Competitors meeting for all competitors (Parents and coaches must also attend.) - outdoor patio, Clubhouse Pick up sack lunch at Clubhouse (following Competitors meeting)
11:00 am: First Warning – Championship Fleet
11:00 am: Green Fleet meet up in Junior Room Additional races &/or clinic to follow
6:00 pm: Dinner - Clubhouse
6:30 pm: Ice Cream Bar - Clubhouse
7:00 pm: Messy de Mayo Games, Beach (please wear clothing you don't mind getting stained)

9:30 am: First Warning - Championship Fleet
9:30 am: Green Fleet Competitors Meeting Additional races &/or clinic to follow
1:00 PM: NO Warning Signal after this time.
After Racing: Awards ceremony with lunch at the Clubhouse

Complimentary camping as well as RV hook ups are available on club grounds, with use of clubhouse bathrooms and showers.
As a reminder, per AYC policy:
