SAIL IN FLEET RACES/RALLIES, EARN SWAG!

GOAL- 250 POINTS

You earn points every day you sail in a fleet race, rally, mentoring day,  AYC Regatta, or SARYA Regatta.  It does not matter if you skipper, crew, or just are along for the ride.  All Juniors 18 and under are eligible.  

There are a possible 68 racing/rally/regatta days between March 16 (Mid-Winters) and Oct 27 (Halloween) and 9 SAYRA Regattas.

June 15-16: James Island Yacht Club- Open Regatta

July 12-14: Hobcaw Yacht Club- Open Regatta 

July 27-28: Carolina Yacht Club SC- Invitational

August 3-4: Carolina Yacht Club 1853- SAYRA Regatta

September 7-8: Beaufort Yacht & Sailing- Jr. Plug Mud

September 21-22: Lake Norman Yacht Club- Board Bash

September 28-29: Hatteras Community Sailing- Cape Hatteras Lighthouse Regatta

October 12-13: Augusta Sailing Club- Halloween Regatta

November 2-3: Columbia Sailing Club- Midlands Regatta

1 point - AYC Junior sticker

5 points - Hat

10 points - T-shirt

16 points - long sleeve tech shirt

42 points - Noob Lifejacket

Click the above link to view the results on a spreadsheet and qualifying dates.  Check this to make sure you are getting credit for all the days you sail in fleet races/rallies or in an AYC regatta.  If you sailed and didn't get credit, contact, Frances Hanson, or Dean Plants. 

How it works!

Click the link for rules and frequently asked questions.

Sign up for the JRAYC GroupMe. (Click link to sign up).  After you participate in a race/rally/or regatta, send a message using GroupMe that you sailed.  If a junior does not have a phone, have a parent join and send a message that you sailed.

AYC Members. We want our juniors at AYC to participate in fleet races. To help promote this, we have implemented a point system that will allow the juniors to earn shirts, hats, and sailing gear.
