The 72nd Gilbert Beers Memorial Regatta will be held October 2-4, 2026, at the Atlanta Yacht Club. Join us in Atlanta to “Sail with Georgia on My Mynd”. Optional Friday golf, followed by racing on Saturday and Sunday, complete with Southern food and Southern DJ on Saturday night. We hope to see you!

Schedule of Events:

Friday, October 2nd

Golf tournament: anyone interested in golf on Friday, please call Carlin Hodges 404-557-8978.
6:00pm to 9:00pm: Registration and complimentary chili dinner.

Saturday, October 3rd

7:30am to 9:00am. Registration and Breakfast at the Clubhouse.
8:45am. Junior regatta competitor's meeting at Clubhouse Patio.
9:25am. Warning signal for first Junior race.
11:30am. Competitor's meeting at Clubhouse Patio. Lunch to follow at the Clubhouse.
12:55pm. Warning signal for first race of the day.
6:00pm. Cocktail hour (Beer and Wine) at the Clubhouse. Kids Meal served during adult cocktails.
7:00pm. Dinner and DJ, featuring Georgia inspired music during dinner and all other kinds afterwards. The DJ will stay as long as you do!

Sunday, October 4th

7:00am to 8:30am. Breakfast.

9:25am. Warning signal for first race of the day. No race will be started after 12:00 noon.

Lunch and awards will follow completion of racing.

Registration Fee $135 for skipper and crew; $5 discount for USSA or CYA members.

Deadline is midnight Sunday, September 27^th

Meals/Prices:

1. All meals are included in registration fee for skipper and crew.
2. Extra meals:

Friday Dinner – traditional Chili dinner, complimentary to all (for those not sailing, please let us know you are coming through the registration link so we can make sure we have plenty)
Saturday Breakfast - $6
Saturday Lunch - $8 (Grill Cheese sandwiches and Tomato soup)
Saturday Adult Dinner - $20 (catered by Doug’s Place, a traditional southern meal complete with Fried Chicken and Peach Cobbler)
Saturday Kids Dinner - $10 (Chicken Fingers and Mac ‘N Cheese)
Sunday Breakfast - $6
Sunday Lunch - $10 (Pulled Pork Sandwiches)

Meal reservation deadline is midnight (EDT), Sunday September 27, 2026

There are a limited number of cabins on AYC club grounds available to borrow on a first-come, first-serve basis. Most can house 2-4 people. Contact Shelby Hatcher-Gosnell to reserve.
