2018 Commissioning Ceremony

AYC will hold its 68th Commissioning Ceremony on March 3, 2018 at 1700 hours (5:00pm).  The Commissioning Ceremony is a time honored tradition which celebrates the beginning of the new sailing season.  At 6:00 join us for passed appetizers such as Fig and Goat Cheese Filo Cups with Balsamic Glaze and Crab Cakes with Remoulade Sauce  and a glass or two of bubbly.  7:00 is dinner time where we’ll be served a catered buffet of mixed Greens with Pear Confit, Candied Pecans and Balsamic vinaigrette Dressing, Seared Chicken with Lemon Caper Sauce,  Basil Risotto, and delicious Roasted Vegetables. Dessert will be Lemon Marscapone Cake and a  Decadent Chocolate cake. Don’t forget, it’s BYOB for dinner. Starting at 8:00 we’ll have a live quartet “Blue Sails” for music and dancing. Juniors and children are welcomed, babysitting will be available for $10 per child, ages 3 - 12 (6pm-10pm with dinner and fun provided). Nautical attire is welcomed.
