2026 Sailing Instructions  

Support AYC's top sailing competitors for the 2026 AYC Club Championship!  Come out to watch the races Saturday and Sunday,  and on Saturday evening join the celebration with a club-wide dinner to close out the summer season.

AYC’s top 2026 sailors will compete this year in Y-Flyers.  Qualification to compete are outlined in the AYC Rule Book, section 4a.

SKIPPERS:  If you have not already done so, please email your name, sail number and the name of your crew to Michael Hatcher, 2026 Regatta Chair.  As a reminder, qualifying teams may not use their own boat, and must arrange to borrow another boat.

SCHEDULE:

Saturday, September 19
8-9am: Competitors Check-In (Clubhouse - Coffee & Doughnuts)
9am: Competitors Meeting (Pavilion)
9:55am: First Race Warning Signal (with 2 races to follow)
TBD: Lunch (Clubhouse- for competitors and race committee only) following the 1st or 2nd race as decided by the PRO
6pm: Champions Reception at the Clubhouse (Light Appetizers & Signature Cocktail)
6:30pm: Dinner at the Clubhouse:  (complimentary for competitors and RC):   Taziki's Mediterranean Cafe 
Sunday, September 20
8:55am: First Warning Signal
12:55pm: Last Warning Signal
After Racing: Beverages, Snacks, and Awards at the Clubhouse

MEALS: 

The Taziki's Mediterranean Cafe Dinner on Saturday night is open to club members and their guests.  Saturday lunch and Saturday dinner will be complimentary to all competitors and race committee, but everyone must register online for the dinner.
