Great Events Coming Up...

Atlanta Yacht Club, on Lake Allatoona, has been home to pleasure and racing sailors for fifty years. We now have many 2nd and 3rd (and even some 4th!) generation AYC sailors. ...the likes of Tarasa Davis (member of the 1996 US Olympics Sailing Team) and Amanda & Nee-Cee Hodges (Adams Cup competitors), two America's Cup team members (including skipper Ted Turner), and Means Davis (US SAILING Senior Judge, International Judge, and Certified Regional Race Officer). We have several USSA Certified Club Race Officers, numerous one-design national champions, and a number of volunteers instrumental in the running of the 1996 Olympics sailing venue. We are also pleased to have produced six certified US SAILING Level I instructors, and three Level II USSA instructors.

On weekends from late March to November, you will find our shores dappled with one-design sailing craft heading out for an afternoon on the water with friends and family. Come for friendly (but first-rate) competition, sailing classes, or just an opportunity to relax on the lake. But what binds our members and families to AYC is commitment to the sport of sailing and desire to spend leisure time where everyone in the family can play.
