Coaches and Volunteers needed for Junior Training

Classes are held on Saturdays 9AM-12:30PM from May 14th - July 23rd. NO Classes on: May 28th (Memorial Day) June 18th (post Jr week) July 2nd (July 4th holiday)

Coaches or Volunteers positions are needed for all junior training levels:

• Opti "Guppies" (Beginners Ages 6-9 or never sailed before)
• Opti "Sharks" (must be 9 and had 1 year of opti sailing)
• Opti "Learn to Race" (kids with sailing experience, ready to participate in regattas)
• Learn to Sail Double Handed Boats - 420's , Flyers, Thistles &  Snipes (sailing experience in Skipper or crew positions)

Responsibilities:

• Must be available on Saturdays May 14th - July 23rd from 9AM-12:30PM
• Ensure safety on docks and when sailing
• Maintain a safe and fun environment for children

Qualifications:

• At least 16 years old
• Experience sailing and skippering dinghies
• Be comfortable rigging, sailing, capsizing and righting an opti, 420’s and double-handed boats
• A love for sailing and sharing your passion with others
• Experience with kids (preferred)
• Complete US Sailing Safe Sport

Preferred:

• Proficient Power and Sailboat handling skills, Georgia Boater License or Boat Driving experience
• Must be able to single hand a powerboat
• Coaching Experience, US Sailing Level 1 certification or higher
