Movie & Smores on the Lawn

Join us on the lawn for S’mores and a movie!

 

Saturday, September 1

10:00 am – 12 noon

Pirates’ Cove Party & Cruise A (Ages 6 to 11)

Come explore Pirates’ Cove and beyond on a party pontoon boat with slide, tubes, and fun. Bring lifejackets, a snack and your swashbuckling selves! One parent per family must accompany their children on the Cruise. You will have plenty of time to work on your cardboard boat once you return to shore!

1:00 pm – 3:00 pm

Pirates’ Cove Party & Cruise B (Ages 12 to 18)

Come explore Pirates’ Cove and beyond on a party pontoon boat with slide, tubes, and fun. Homework alert: Don’t forget to work on your cardboard boat in the morning! Bring lifejackets, a snack and your swashbuckling selves! No parent necessary for older pirates.

3:00 pm – 4:00 pm

Pontoons at the Beach
The party pontoon will be moored at the beach for more fun.

5:00 pm – 6:00 pm

Annual Cardboard Boat Race at the Beach

Don’t miss the most fun you can have with cardboard and duct tape. Rules will be posted in the AYC weekly emails, and around the club.  Click here for the rules

Delicious BBQ Dinner

BYOB. BBQ Night – Pulled Smoked Pork BBQ and all the fixings. PLUS - A Decadent Dessert Bar you won’t want to miss! BYOB.

**Proceeds from this dinner benefit the Juniors Program and you will see many of their smiling faces helping Lavon in the kitchen.**

RSVP: $17 per adult; $8 per child

Junior Church at the Point

Join Ellie and Lucy Spearman for the last Junior Church Service of the season.  If you’re sailing in the upcoming Women’s Championship Regatta, take a short rigging break and if you’re not sailing, come on down and join us for fellowship and get ready to cheer on the ladies as they launch.

6:30 pm – 10:00 pm

No Chips – Heavy Hors d’Oeuvres Dinner Party and Live Music
Bring an appetizer to serve 12 or more; No chips please as this is a substitute for dinner.* Enjoy a live four piece band, “The New Bridge Band,” until 10:00 pm. Participants in the Women’s Championship will be our Guests of Honor. If you are not sailing in the Women’s Championship, please consider bringing an appetizer so our ladies can enjoy their celebration.

Monday, September 3

7:30 am

Allatoona Shuffle (Meet at the FLAGPOLE)
Walk, run, jog, shuffle, scoot or peddle the course – or come cheer! This will be our second year making the shuffle a 5K CROSS COUNTRY course (bring your running shoes) through the club property. Come out and run or cheer on the competitors. New Cross Country course maps provided at the clubhouse and before the race.

Don’t let the other pirates pillage or plunder your balloon bootie! This is THE boating event of the season. Bring any boat that floats, your crew and your ‘stash bags’ to collect your bootie.
