May 8 to June 12 (no class May 29)
A very low key approach to instruction will allow people who never before have sailed to handle a boat while having fun. Each class will include basic on-shore instruction as well as time on the water in the club's two-person 420 class sailboats. The goal of this class is to teach the basics of sailing and for each student to learn how to safely handle a boat on the water.
Classes are from 9 until noon. As size of the class is limited by the number of available boats, early registration is strongly suggested. Both AYC members and non-members are encouraged to sign up and participate.
Fees for AYC members is $35.00 per session. For non-AYC members the fees are $150.00 with a $25.00 discount if more than one family member enrolls in the same session.
