The Atlanta Yacht Club (AYC) and the US SAILING are sponsoring this US SAILING judges workshop and test. The workshop is required to become a US SAILING Certified Judge and for maintaining certification every four years. It will be held at the AYC Club House from 8:30 am – 5:00 pm on Saturday, March 6th and 8:30 am – 5:00 pm on Sunday, March 7th, 2010.
The principal instructor for the seminar is Jim Tichenor, a US SAILING National Race Officer and Senior Judge. He will be assisted by International Judge, Regional Race Officer and Senior Judge Means Davis.
If you are working towards certification (encouraged) the required course materials include:
RRS 2009 – 2012 with US SAILING Prescriptions
US SAILING Judges Manual and the US SAILING Appeals,

These course materials may be used during the open book exam.

The workshop fee for U S SAILING members is $55.00 and includes: (2) continental breakfasts, (2) lunches and US SAILING fees. You are strongly encouraged to register on-line, or you may use the enclosed registration form. Advance registration is required, and the number of participants is limited to 30. The deadline for advance registrations is March 1, 2010.
